Meet Huriye Talas, founder of Lavanta Kindergarten.

At Lavanta in Ümitköy, Ankara, we think about school life through play, curiosity, care and children’s freedom to express themselves. We believe that entering a new environment calls for being understood, listened to and given room to explore at an individual pace.

Getting to know Lavanta, founded by Huriye Talas, is about more than seeing classrooms. It is an opportunity to talk about our approach to learning and your questions about your child’s school life.

For us, the first step is getting to know your child and listening to your family’s expectations. An introductory visit is a chance to ask questions, see the school environment and begin to understand one another.

Curiosity, questions and the way a child settles into a new environment are individual. Our approach values getting to know each child, listening and making room for participation rather than comparison.

Discovery through play

Acting out a story, creating with different materials or joining a rhythm: we see play as more than a break. It is an experience through which children explore their world and express their ideas.

Starting school is a new chapter for families too. We believe that talking about a child’s interests, everyday routines and the family’s expectations is a starting point for mutual understanding.
